American Swedish Institute's Turnblad Mansion Ballroom
*Includes hors d'oeuvres and one drink ticket
Made possible by a $10,000 grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, we are proud to announce an upcoming "Schubertiade" food & wine concert at the American Swedish Institute on October 14th. A very limited number of tickets are on sale today for this intimate concert, which will take place in the Turnblad mansion's Ballroom.
In partnership with the American Swedish Institute (ASI), we are delighted to present a "Schubertiade" style concert focusing on Scandinavian music and the influence of classical European Masters as well as Scandinavian folk traditions. Susan Billmeyer, pianist and co-artistic director, researched this often overlooked corner of chamber music and created a concert including each member of our diverse ensemble, as well as returning guest artist Christopher Kachian, guitar.
From a reprise of Matiegka's Serenade to characteristically Swedish dances by Tor Aulin, and from Larsson's delicate Aubade to Berwald's romantic Quartet, you will be delighted by a variety of works performed by world class musicians - and all while enjoying drinks and Hors d'oeuvres in the beautiful Turnblad Mansion Ballroom.
“This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.”
