Serenade in D major (original version for nine instruments), Johannes Brahms

Flutist Jane Garvin introduces us to Ferdinand Ries’ Flute Quartet and pianist Tim Lovelace joins us for a chamber music rarity: Gustav Mahler’s Piano Quartet and the Soviet composer Alfred Schnittke’s piece inspired by Mahler’s work. The concert concludes with Johannes Brahms’ pastoral Serenade in its original instrumentation.

Online ticketing is closed for this event. Tickets will still be available Sunday at the box office.
